As you may have guessed, my name is Griffin. I like to design and build things.

I am a student of architecture (legally, I cannot say I am an architect until I am licensed). I received my Bachelor's degree from Kent state University, and continued at Kent to complete my Master's of Architecture and Master's of Business Administration.

During my graduate work at Kent, I developed a passion for digital design and scripting. I originally started using Maya Embedded Language (MEL) to quickly perform iterative transformations. After getting a basic understanding of the language on my own, I took two courses in scripting. One course focused on MEL and Grasshopper (a scripting plug-in for Rhino), and the other course focused on fabrication techniques and the associated scripting processes.

While enrolled in the courses, I entered the MatR design competition with my professor and a fellow student. Our project was selected as the winning entry, and we received a grant to fabricate the design (there are images in my portfolio). After completing the project, I have decided to work in the design and fabrication field of architecture.
